President Trump's Visit to Texas

Written by Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick

I joined President Trump in Dallas Houston with him for two events the following day. The event was standing room only and there was a huge turnout.

We have become great friends over the past several years. We talked the entire 45-minute flight with his favorites, burgers, fries, and orange soda. He's made me a fan of it.

What absolutely amazes me is with all he has in front of him, he always asks me how others are doing and how he can help them.

I've been with him many times when a total stranger tells him about someone in the hospital, or maybe a special senior birthday. He'll tell the stranger to call them right then and he'll talk to them or record a phone video. It only takes a few minutes of his time, but it means so much to that person. It's a lifetime memory. It's not a rare occurrence. He loves doing it. He loves making people feel good and feel important.

To underscore that point, last night at about 9:30 p.m. he called me to see how I was doing. After the full day that he had, that's the last thing that he needed to do, and I told him that. That's who he is and that's why the public is drawn to him. They know he genuinely cares about them. People can see through the fakeness of so many people in office. He's authentic.

His latest polling numbers show him winning in many key swing states. People have had enough of Joe Biden, the total opposite of authenticity.

Learn more about Texas Politics and Events as we continue.

In the meantime, we are packed with other topics that are coming your way through our website. We have evolved as a website to include updates and our future Texas 76 Trends Page is coming soon. That particular page will be more about the events leading up to the Republican Primary of 2026. Texas is the place to be, and we love living here.

National Child identification Program

Child Identification Kits- Written by Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick

During the 87th Legislative Session, I led the charge to include funding in our budget to provide no-link fingerprinting kits for every student in Texas from kindergarten to seventh grade. We received matching funds from the NFL for the effort.

The kits will be sent home next spring, and there will not be any state records kept of the fingerprints. Parents will have their children's fingerprints for safekeeping, and God-willing, they will never be needed.

Too often, children are abducted, and these kits might be the difference between tragedy and a swift return. Missing children are a national crisis, and we must do everything we can to keep Texas children safe.

I want to thank the NFL for partnering with us on this effort. Texas is the largest state to distribute these kits, and I hope that our program is a model for other states to implement.

For my efforts, I was honored with the Jerry Kramer NFL Trailblazer Award. Attorney General Ken Paxton and Senator Donna Campbell, R-New Braunfels received awards as well.

A Faith-Based Collaboration for Texas Children

Open Homes and Open Hearts- Written by Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick

Faith-based organizations have a long history of involvement in the child welfare system. They work tirelessly across the state with children and families involved with or at risk of involvement with the child welfare system. They are an essential component in helping to make a life-changing difference in the lives of children and families in their communities. Through their collaboration with CPS, faith-based communities provide goods, services, and support to prevent children from entering the child welfare system.

Many of these active congregations have programs to recruit foster and adoptive parents, provide enrichment activities for children, including tutoring, after-school programs, and even offer programs for parents, including parenting and marriage classes, substance abuse and mental health counseling.

My goal is to promote this faith-based initiative and motivate more families across Texas to open their homes and their hearts to a child in need.

The Simple Act of Kindness

Written by Lea Catrina Sue Simmons

What does world peace mean to me? The definition of world peace to me would be for everyone around the world to get along with each other. Religion is one way while politics is another way. Each culture has a tradition that is passed down from one generation to the next. The age of computers is all around us, but where is love and compassion going to fit in this equation? People don't prosper for lack of knowledge and also because of not helping one another. We are all born innocent but grow up thinking of ourselves and not about each other. Why not be a helping hand and pay it forward? Conflict, poverty, and climate go hand in hand, by choosing to help your fellow man or woman. As it seems to me, helping someone else is a simple philosophy in life that leads to the simple act of kindness.

As we continue with our discussion about the simple act of kindness, the following article is an endorsement for President Trump from Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Howdy Modi Summit in Houston, Texas where two different cultures are uniting for the ultimate act of kindness as two good friends in the world of diplomacy.

September 22, 2019

Good morning, Houston.

Good morning, Texas.

Good morning, America.

Greetings to my fellow Indians in India and around the world.

Friends,

This morning, we have a very special person with us. He needs no introduction. His name is familiar to every person on the planet.

His name comes up in almost every conversation in the world on global politics. His every word is followed by tens of millions.

He was a household name and very popular even before he won to occupy the highest office in this great country.

From CEO to Commander-in-Chief, from the boardroom to the Oval Office, from studios to the global stage, from politics to the economy and to security, he has left a deep and lasting impact everywhere.

Today he is here with us. It is my honor and privilege to welcome him in this magnificent stadium and magnificent gathering.

And I can say I had a chance to meet him often and every time I found the friendliness, warmth, and energy, the President of the United States, Mr. Donald Trump.

This is extraordinary, this is unprecedented.

Friends, as I told you, we have met a few times and every time he has been the same warm, friendly, accessible, energetic, and full of wit. I admire him for something more.

His sense of leadership, a passion for America, a concern for every American, a belief in the American future and a strong resolve to Make America Great Again.

And he has already made the American economy strong again. He has achieved much for the United States and for the world.

Friends,

We in India have connected well with President Trump. The words of Candidate Trump, Abki Baar Trump Sarkar rand loud and clear and his celebration in the White House lit up millions of faces with joy and appreciation.

When I met him for the first time, he said to me, "India has a true friend in the White House." Your presence here today is a great testimony to that. In these years, our two nations have taken the relationship to new heights. Mr. President, this morning in Houston, you can hear the heartbeat of this great partnership in this celebration of the world's two largest democracies.

You can feel the strength and depth of the human bond between our two great nations. People are the heart of all relationships from Houston to Hyderabad, from Boston to Bengaluru, from Chicago to Shimla, from Los Angeles to Ludhiana, from New Jersey to New Delhi.

Hundreds of millions are glued to their TV, even though it is rather late on a Sunday night in India, millions around the world, in different time zones, are with us today. They are witnessing history in the making.

Mr. President, you had introduced me to your family in 2017, and today, I have the honor to introduce you to my family, over a billion Indians, and people of Indian heritage around the globe.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you my friend, a friend of India, a great American President, Mr. Donald Trump.

Amelia Earhart had a famous quote. "A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees." Our website was at first meant to inspire other people to run their race. Little did we realize; it would evolve into running the race ourselves. Lea is just a normal person, that is backing up other Conservative Candidates. A lesson learned from all of this is that sometimes a simple act of kindness turns into a Campaign. We have incorporated a newsletter since then that will eventually evolve into a Trending in Texas Politics-District 76 Newsletter after the Republican Primary Election on March 5, 2024. This newsletter will be about Politics on our Texas Trends 76 Page. For now, our Texas 76 Newsletter Inc. will be a network newsletter for our website where we will discuss future endorsements for our Campaign and for other Republican Candidates. We will incorporate this information all over our website until the end of the Republican Primary next year, 2024.
